Juli Dugdale

Juli joined the World YWCA in 2009. As a Senior Specialist  and a Focal Point  for Asia and Pacific, she leads on the implementation of the World YWCA strategic priority of ensuring the full implementation of a human rights-based approach to young women’s and girl’s leadership in the context of shared, transformed and intergenerational leadership. Juli was elected the first young woman Vice President of the YWCA of Australia and has continued to enjoy her journey with the YWCA at a local, national and now global level. Before joining the World YWCA, Juli worked in a senior executive leadership position at Melbourne City Mission, and over the years she has been a member of many NGO boards, community forums and government advisory groups.  She has studied in Australia and the UK with a focus on Community Development, Child Protection and completing her MSC in International Development.

She loves:  Sunshine, Swimming and beaches.  Being with old and new friends.

She is inspired by: The Women, Young women and girls who against so many barriers share their generous spirit each day.

She wants  to change: Women and girls to have access to a safe space and  are  listened to and heard without discrimination.
